MVHS hosted Alicia Hysten, Cailin Grame, & Corey Grame for our Career Speaker Engagement series. Today, the JH & HS students learned about the intricacies, pathways, & career information regarding the EMT, Paramedic, & Firefighter careers. All 3 of our career speakers have a direct tie to Mission Valley, & we cannot thank them enough for taking time out of their day to provide the students with this information. #MVFutures #MVCareers

Parents please check your kids book bags this 3 day weekend for youth basketball sign up forms and information. The sign up deadline is Friday November 22nd. There is a link on our Facebook page and on the form for sign up.


Our JH basketball teams play Cair Paravel on Thursday at Mission Valley. The B team girls will start at 4:30 and the B team boys will start at 5:30. There will be no C team boys game.

The Mission Valley Drama Club will present "Story Stew: A Fairytale Review", a comedy by Stacey Lane, on Saturday, November 16th at 7 PM and Sunday, November 17th at 2 PM. Admission is $10/adult and $7/student. Your admission includes some wonderful desserts from the Mission Valley FCCLA chapter during intermission and a portion of the proceeds from this production will help the FCCLA with its activities and programs!

MVJH/HS hosted Master Overbey from his U.S. Martial Arts School. Master Overbey spoke to the students about anti-bullying, being an "upstander", and 5 steps on how to address bullying. #Doingtherightthing #upstandersagainstbullying #MVcharacter

Parents/Guardians - Many students are taking dual-credit/online college courses through Allen Comm. Coll. this Spring 2025 semester. Though there are courses that are 'free' to you via the Excel in CTE bill, there are still courses that require payment. Please speak to your student about what courses they plan on taking, you can also view their 2nd semester courses on PowerSchool, and if you need a copy of their schedule please let me know. If you do not see the course that your child is taking on the CTE list (link below), then the cost is $50 per credit hour and a $45 dollar online administration fee (ex. 3 credit hour course will be $195). Update......the NHS canned food drive received 1,830 items a new record dating back to 2015!
