The Mission Valley Junior High Quiz Bowl teams competed tonight against the league teams. They did quite well. The A team medaled with third place. The B team was close to medaling coming in fourth place. Great Job Vikings!

JH teachers, staff & administration want to acknowledge & congratulate our MVJH Honor Roll recipients for their 1st semester accomplishments. We surprised our Honor Roll students on Jan. 22nd as we recognized them in the morning as their teachers passed out treat bags & homework passes. During ‘Viking Hour’ we had “Family Friday” which the students enjoyed cupcakes & games. Congrats to all JH Honor Roll recipients!!!

COVID Can’t Stop Us! Despite not being able to travel this year, our Mission Valley FCCLA chapter was able to host a Conference Day this month. During this day, members got the opportunity to watch the District D Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) and the first ever Virtual Leadership Experience (VLE) put on by the national officers. The chapter officers decorated the FCS room to prepare for a fun conference! On January 15th, all the new members got to experience opening and closing ceremonies, including the Presentation of Colors and even the Parade of States! We started the day with a 75th birthday celebration for FCCLA. Throughout the day, members got to engage in icebreakers and activities led by Mrs. Bergin and state officers. FCCLA also partnered with JoAnn’s Fabric to put together a service project where members made tie blankets for Project Linus, an organization that provides blankets to children who are ill or have gone through trauma. To close out the day, members had a dance party to get in some exercise after watching Peer Ed and State officer workshops as well as KeyNote speakers. Complete with snacks, glowsticks, and lots of listening to amazing speakers, the Virtual Conference Day was a success!
