Reminder: 'Summer Weights & Conditioning' will resume this Monday morning (7-13). We MUST do a better job of Social Distancing and we have asked our coaches to be more proactive in keeping our students 6 ft. apart (athletes MUST take responsibility as well) . Wabaunsee county is not currently requiring the use of masks but please feel free to have your child wear one, as that will help when social distancing is more difficult. We hope to see you all in the weight room on Monday!

We have made the decision to cancel all sports related (KSHSAA) activities at the school next week. We are going to take (1) week off to evaluate how we are operating, discuss any changes or modifications that we want to do, monitor the health and wellness of students as they return from July 4th weekend, etc... This decision is NOT due to any student or staff testing positive or being exposed to anyone with COVID-19. In addition, the basketball coaches have cancelled their summer workouts with their players for the remainder of the summer. The decision to cancel basketball workouts was made by the coaches and was highly supported by administration. I greatly appreciate their decision. We will continue as planned with Drivers Education and Extended School Year services for students with significant disabilities. We will follow the guidance from Wabaunsee County Health Department regarding maintaining 6 ft distance and if 6 ft distance can not be maintained then staff will wear masks. In addition we will also stress handwashing, sanitization, etc.
