Mission Valley JH / HS Virtual Back to School Zoom Meetings have been re-scheduled for Thursday August 20th @7:00pm-8:00pm.
Teachers and building administrators will be hosting these meetings in order share information and updates for the upcoming 2020 school year. There will be a question and answer segment at the end of each meeting.

ACC online classes start TODAY. If you have enrolled in ACC course, you must login to your ACC Blackboard account and click on your online course within 3 days from today or you will be dropped from the course.
MVHS school building is closed on 8/18/2020, you won't be able to come & get your college book(s) from ACC on this date. You have the option of waiting until the 19th OR you can go to ACC Burlingame campus today.
Dear Viking Parents:
We wanted to share some Elementary School updates as we start the year. We are taking these precautions to make sure we are starting the year on the same page and to keep all of our students and staff safe!
Open House this year is only for NEW FAMILIES to the district on Tuesday, Aug 18th from 4:30-6:30. This is just drop in and there will be no food served.
Digital Open House is being done for all students that will include meeting your teacher and a video of your classroom. Information for this will be sent out when it is complete with a link to follow.
Students riding the bus will not be able to board until they have a mask on and their temperature is checked (must be below 100.4 degrees).
Anyone entering the school must have their temperature checked and be wearing a mask. If you do not have your own mask, one will be provided.
Water fountains will not be on, but bottle fillers will. Please send a water bottle to school with students and they can fill it throughout the day. We have ordered each student a water bottle, but are unsure when they will arrive.
This year our students will not have spelling tests. Instead, they will be learning and practicing their spelling patterns during writing.
Students will not be released from the bus or allowed to enter the building before 7:45 AM. Students that are car riders need to be dropped off and picked up at the NE doors. Students entering after 8 AM will need to come into the office for a tardy slip.

Due to distancing restrictions of COVID-19 we have canceled the ‘All-Sport Parent Mtg’ scheduled for Wed, Aug. 12th. Coaches will get team information to parents & athletes of their sport.
We also have schedules, guidelines and required forms on the ‘Athletics’ link as well. Thanks!

5th & 6th Grade Families,
As we are quickly approaching our first day of school, I wanted to make you aware of a couple changes to our elementary band program.
5th Grade
Instead of students choosing an instrument and sticking with it for the year, all 5th grade students will be given the opportunity to try different instruments through the year. To avoid having 30-40 students in one room at a time, students will rotate in small groups to band throughout the week so Mrs. Sperry can give more attention to our beginning learners.
6th grade
Band will be optional for 6th grade students. If students choose to participate, they will be put in small groups and rotate throughout the week to allow for more small group attention. All 6th grade students will still receive general music.
