Viking Community---Due to issues related with construction projects at the school next Monday, the Special Board Meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. to conduct a facility walkthru has been cancelled. The Regular Board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. will be held at the USD 330 District Office (511 East 2nd, Eskridge, KS).

Viking Families----USD 330 Mission Valley and USD 329 Wabaunsee combined forces last night at the annual music showcase of the choirs and bands from both schools. The students from both schools did a wonderful job under the direction of (Mrs. Hancock--Mission Valley) (Mr. Kilpatrick--Mission Valley) and (Mr. Rogers--Wabaunsee). Thank you to all the friends and families in attendance.

Congratulations to our JH Quiz Bowl! The A team went undefeated tonight at Council Grove outscoring their opponents 610-240!
For the students who have completed their 3rd quarter Xello work, you will have an early release this Friday, March 8th at 240pm.
We will have a list in the office for students to be checked out.
JH students and bus riders will be able to play games in the gym starting at 245pm.
JH students can leave with HS siblings if needed.
The Wabaunsee County band and choir concert will be on Monday, March 4th starting at 7:00 pm at Mission Valley in the new gym. The band will perform first followed by the choir.
USD 330 Mission Valley is currently accepting sealed bids for (6) pieces of welding equipment. Each bid submitted will be for only 1 piece of equipment. Bidders may submit more than (1) bid but only (1) bid per piece of equipment. Bidders need to include their bid amount and which piece of equipment their bid is for.

USD 330 Mission Valley is currently accepting sealed bids for a milk cooler that no longer functions effectively as it will not maintain the necessary cooling temperature. This would be ideal for dry storage or to even turn into a smoker.

March came in today at Mission Valley like a Lamb. We always love visitors at Mission Valley and today we had two very special (3-day old) visitors in Mr. Fiske's classroom that were brought in by one of our students! I think they enjoyed the Animal Science class!

Gabriel Dabbs' History Day project won first prize in the Senior Individual Exhibit category, along with a $1,500 scholarship. He'll continue on to the state-wide History Day competition in April. Congratulations Gabriel!

Spring sports practices start today for HS baseball, softball and track. JH track practice will start on Tuesday, March 19th.
Those that wish to participate need to have a physical turned in before they can practice.
The JH Quiz Bowl A and B teams both finished 3rd with records of 5-2 at Chase County.

Body Venture visited MVE today! Students learned about healthy eating and physical activity as they toured 11 stations in the enclosed walk-through exhibit representing the human body. Thank you to FCCLA/FFA students for facilitating the stations. Also thank you to 7th hr PE & 6th hr Ag Mech for helping with set up and tear down.
Will Packard and Nolan Wolfe, students from Mission Valley's gifted program, competed in Divide and Conquer, a junior high math competition. It was held at Silver Lake, and several area schools participated. The competition included an individual timed test and a group scavenger hunt utilizing math skills. Congratulations to Nolan Wolfe, who won first place in the 8th grade category.
MV students attended the first ever Wabaunsee County Career Exploration Fair today which highlighted many careers located here locally. The event was held in the KanEquip Arena in Alma, KS. The students got to speak with the present employers to learn about viable & feasible professions of interest, & to learn about careers they did not know existed in local Wabaunsee County area. The students showed up dressed to impress & learned invaluable employability skills in the process. #MVcareers #MVfutures
