This group helps guide curriculum/programming decisions for Family & Consumer Sciences students based on industry best-practices. We meet twice per year. Any adults in the community with careers in the following fields would be a great fit:

The Lady Vikings will advance to the semi-finals of the FHL Shootout after beating West Franklin in Emporia 65-33! ONWARD VIKINGS!
Starting today, there will be open gym in the old gym from 5:30-6:30 for 6th-8th graders interested in softball. It will be open every Thursday from now until the end of February.
The JH boys and girls both placed 2nd in the league tournament. Congratulations on your successful seasons!
Family Conferences are right around the corner! We just emailed out some letters with details for the Junior High and High School students. Conferences run February 21st-22nd from 4pm-8pm.
Your student advisor should be in contact with you soon to schedule your time slots.

Students/Parents: On 1/30/2024, MVHS will be hosting a FAFSA Completion Event for all seniors and their parents. This event will take place in the HS Commons from 2:45 - 6:30 P.M. This event has no official start time as a group due to assistance being provided as needed based upon the progress of each FAFSA application. Financial Aid representatives from K-State, Emporia State, and Washburn will be on hand. Please mark this date on your calendar as the FAFSA has been finally opened up, but they are having some technical difficulties. This event being at the end of the month will allow FAFSA to fix many of those areas so that the event can take place with minimal errors. Email me at jhancock@mv330.org if you have any questions.
We have a lot of basketball games coming up. The JH games are all at Osage City tomorrow. The girls play at 3:00 and 5:30 and the boys play at 4:15 and 6:45.
The HS boys play at Lyndon against Council Grove at 5:00 on Wednesday.
The HS girls play at White Auditorium on Thursday at 3:00 against West Franklin. Both teams will play Friday and Saturday as well.

Viking Family----Due to the conditions of many of the side roads in the district, USD 330 Mission Valley will have a 2-hr delay on Wednesday, January 17th. This delay will allow students to be transported during daylight hours which provides an additional layer of safety.
There will NOT be any morning preschool.
Additional information will be sent out IF there are any changes to activities and events.

The HS games with Northern Heights will be rescheduled for a later date.
