The elementary celebrated their summer reading program this afternoon with the students who read over 2,700 minutes. Each student received a slushy, prizes and water bottles.
The research on children reading includes improving a child's vocabulary and language skills, it develops their imagination, readers achieve better in school, it exercises their brains, improves concentration and helps them to become better readers.
We are so proud of our young readers and parents who supported our summer reading goal.
