Congratulations to Mission Valley FCCLA Members who did very well at District STAR Events in Manhattan on Friday. Earning Silver were: Emma Gustin in Leadership Sydney Gleason in Job Interview Megan Deters in Entrepreneurship Earning Gold were: Karlyn Gustin in Focus on Children Kiki Widau and Paige Sims in Chapter in Review Portfolio Trenton Parks, Keaton Shives, and Justice Dunbar in Hospitality, Tourism & Recreation Megan, Karlyn, Kiki, Paige, Trenton, Keaton, and Justice all qualified for the state competition in April. Kiki and Paige earned the high score for all of District D for the day with 99.33 out of 100 points.

Last Friday, MVHS students that are taking the ACT test in a few weeks received specific training on how to do well on the ACT test from an ACT consultant that the school provided. Students worked hard for 4 hours! We wish them good luck on the coming ACT test.

Congrats to the MV Wrestlers for placing 5th at the Chase County Inv. today. Placing 2nd was Caleb Hinck & Cailin Grame while Nolan Parker, Jon Grame & James Williams placed 3rd. Once again, MV’s 7 wrestlers placed in the top 1/3 of a very competitive tournament.

USD 330 Mission Valley WILL BE IN SESSION tomorrow (Friday, February 8th). Primary roads are in good condition, however, side roads continue to be slick so be prepared for possible delays in bus services. Please dress your child(ren) appropriately for weather conditions.

Plan you schedules now to join us on February 19th, for a fun night of STEAM activities put on by the MV Math Team and The Topeka Discovery Center. A Fundraiser Dinner will be served by the HS Robotics Team from 5-7 pm. Activities will run from 6-8 pm. T-shirts are available for $10.00 but must be turned in by February 12th. This should be fun and exciting night for Toddlers through 12th Grade.
