Dover Pride is sponsoring Donuts with Santa, this Saturday from 9-11 am. at the Dover Community Center. Santa will arrive at 9:00 for photographs. Tara Bryan is making 50 Gingerbread houses for kids to decorate. These are on a first come, first serve basis. Come out and enjoy the fun!!!

I was offered and accepted the Environmental Specialist position with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Bureau of Waste Management. Please join us tomorrow night for our PreK-3 Winter Concert starting at 7:00. Please have students in their classroom by 6:45. After the concert we will have a special visitor in the Elementary commons as well as a photographer for each student to have a 4X6 photo taken. MVHS attending the KSHSAA Cheerleading Competition on Saturday, 11/17/2018. The cheerleaders worked very hard up to the competition. They did not make it to finals, but it was not due to a lack of effort. Good job cheerleaders and thank you for representing us!
The MVHS Girls & Boys Basketball coaches will host a Basketball ‘Parent Meeting’ on Monday, November 19th at 6:00 pm in Mr. Gower and Mr. Hysten’s classrooms. High school basketball parents are encouraged to attend.

REMINDER TO ALL JUNIORS/SENIORS and their parents that a 'Free' ACT is being administered on Feb. 20, 2019 at MVHS. Students must complete a 'google sign-up form' to be registered. They have until 11/26/2018 to register. Seniors who have taken the ACT already don't qualify.
A special “THANK YOU” to Lieutenant Colonel Marjie Norton, a former Mission Valley graduate, with the 190th Air National Guard at Forbes Field. She came and spoke to the 10th grades about her experiences and what the Air National Guard can provide as a career choice.

The results are in...our National Honor Society collected 1347 food items for our local food pantries. Thank you to everyone who participated in bringing items. The 1st place 7-12 Class was Mr. Hysten with a 6 item/person average. The 1st place for Pre-K-6th grades was Mrs. Bailey's class with a 24.88 item/student average. Thank you again to all who supported the NHS Canned Food Drive. Our local communities will benefit from your efforts.
