Mr. Fiske’s Advanced Horticulture class spent the day with the Lake Shawnee Horticulture Department learning about landscape bed care, tulip planting and so much more!

The Mission Valley Cross Country Team finished the regular season strong with multiple personal bests and a medal brought home last night at the Flint Hills League meet. Junior High Boys: Harper George - 24th place Denton King - 30th place High School Varsity Girls: Ava Boyden - 12th place and All-League Alaina Boyden - 18th place Harley Tenbrink 24th place High School Varsity Boys: Isaac Elgin - 19th place Ramsey Sperry - 21st place Dylan King - 37th place We are headed to Southeast of Saline High School on October 26th for our class 2A regional!

Thursday, our JH volleyball and football teams will have their final home games and 8th grade recognition. The volleyball games start at 4:30 with the recognition between matches. The football game starts at 6:30 with the recognition before the game.

Ryan spoke to the JH and HS students about his career pathway, the corporation as a whole, and the many jobs/careers found at "The Home Depot." Viking Family--All too often we sometimes find ourselves getting wrapped up in the negativity of the world that often seems to surround us, but here is just another example of the GREAT students and staff that we have at Mission Valley. The following is an email that USD 330 received from KSHSAA that was sent to them from one of the officials at our recent JH Football game vs Chase County.
"Good Morning Mark---Our crew did a junior high 8-man game between Mission Valley and Chase County. I just wanted to make you aware of a pretty amazing thing that I saw and heard last night. Prior to the game, Chase County had issues with this PA system when the National Anthem was supposed to be played. In some circumstances, I've seen games played without it. In this case, the entire Mission Valley football team, and their coaches, sang the National Anthem for all to hear! As a 35-year Army Veteran, I can't let this go unnoticed! I thanked them all but thought maybe an email from you to their AD to let them know it didn't go unnoticed would have a larger effect than a simple thank you from an official."
