Mission Valley Spring Carnival will be Friday April 28th from 5pm-8pm at the high school. We had a great turnout last year and we look forward to having fun with our Viking families again soon!

Students from Mission Valley competed in the annual SUMday Math Contest on Saturday, March 25th at Washburn Rural Middle School. The contest was attended by almost 500 Shawnee county area public and private school students in grades 4 through 8. The students took two tests: the first covered mental math, problem-solving, and number sense while the second test covered geometry and measurement. Samantha Whitten, Elly Packard, Lacy Taylor, Harper George, Riley Hoelting, Treyanne Jacobson, Layton Chesmore, Archie Lake, Kailynn Jacobson, and Paige Kibbee participated. Keegan Hoelting and Hayden Frederick won recognition and a ribbon for placing in the top ten in their age group on the first test, and Abby Packard placed in the top ten on both tests. Congratulations to all!

Emma Slade competed in state powerlifting at Conway Springs on Saturday. She finished top 3 in bench press and cleans. Way to go Emma!
The Mission Valley Drama Department put on a fantasic show last night of One Stop Light Town! We are so proud of these kids and their sponsors! Please come out to their final performance at 2pm today.
MV Drama Club's presentation of "One Stoplight Town" will be at 7:00 PM this evening! Come early and support our MVHS FCCLA Chapter as they will be offering a "Polly's Diner" special that includes a hamburger, fries, dessert, and drink for $10 per person from 5:30-6:30 PM. Milkshakes can also be ordered to enjoy during the intermission of the play!! Come out and support all of these talented Vikings!!
