Three Mission Valley art students have been selected to show their work. Seventh grade student Adalynn Hoffman of Mission Valley Junior High has had a piece selected for the National Art Educators Association annual convention in San Antonio this April. Her oil pastel drawing of irises was inspired by the artist Vincent Van Gogh. The month of March is Youth Art Month and Hoffman’s work along with MVHS Senior, Wyatt Smith and MVES third grade student, Blakelyn Tryon will be featured in the YAM exhibit through Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library. The exhibit features work from students throughout the state of Kansas. The library is located at 1515 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS and the hours are as follows: Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday Noon to 9 p.m. This would be a great opportunity to show support for the arts in the school and community. Thank you for supporting the fine arts at USD #330, Mission Valley Schools!
